This Privacy Policy explains how Pellet Usage handles information when you use the Android application.
Developer and contact

Summary
Pellet Usage is designed to store pellet purchase, usage, supplier, and initial stock information on your device. The developer does not operate a server for this app and does not collect your app data remotely.
Information stored by the app
The app may store the following information locally on your device:
- pellet purchase records, including date, supplier, quantity, bag weight, and price;
- pellet usage records, including date, quantity, and bag weight;
- supplier records, including name, phone number, and notes if you enter them;
- initial pellet stock values;
- deleted-record metadata used for data synchronization;
- app settings, including a local Bluetooth exchange token used to match synchronization sessions.
This information is stored in the app's local database and settings storage on your device.
Permissions and device features
The app may use the following permissions and device features:
- Bluetooth permissions, to pair with nearby devices and exchange Pellet Usage data directly with another device when you choose to use Bluetooth exchange.
- Network-related permissions that may be added by Google libraries included in the app. The app does not use these permissions to send your pellet records to the developer.
- Vibration, to provide device feedback for features such as scanning or confirmation feedback.
- Camera-related functionality may be used for barcode scanning if available in the app build and permitted by the device. Camera frames are used to detect barcodes and are not stored by Pellet Usage.
Data export, import, and Bluetooth exchange
The app lets you export and import data using XML files. Exported XML files may contain the records you entered into the app. You choose where to save exported files and which files to import.
The app also lets you exchange data directly with another Pellet Usage device over Bluetooth. This transfer happens only when you start the exchange and select a device. Data sent by Bluetooth may include the records stored in the app database.
You are responsible for choosing trusted files and trusted Bluetooth devices when using import, export, or exchange features.
Third-party services and SDKs
The app includes Google and Android libraries, including Google ML Kit barcode scanning and Google Play services or Play Core components. These libraries may process technical information needed to provide their functionality, such as barcode detection, compatibility, update, or diagnostics behavior according to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.
Pellet Usage does not include advertising SDKs and does not intentionally use analytics or advertising tracking.
Sharing of information
The developer does not sell your personal information.
The developer does not share your app records with third parties. Information may leave your device only when:
- you export it to a file;
- you import or exchange it using a file or Bluetooth feature;
- Android, Google Play, or included Google libraries process technical information required for platform or SDK functionality;
- disclosure is required by applicable law.
Retention and deletion
App records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear the app's data, uninstall the app, or replace them through an import or synchronization action.
Because Pellet Usage does not create an online account and does not store your records on a developer server, the developer cannot remotely access, correct, or delete your local app records. To delete data, use the app's delete features, clear the app data in Android settings, or uninstall the app.
Security
The app stores data locally using Android app storage. Bluetooth exchange and file export/import are controlled by actions you take in the app. No method of electronic storage or transfer is completely secure, so you should protect your device and exported files appropriately.
Children's privacy
Pellet Usage is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version should be published at the privacy policy URL used in Google Play Console, with a new effective date if the changes are material.
